Jeremy Miles Johnson was born in a small town in southern New Mexico. He is the son of an artist and a teacher. He graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with degrees in physics and classical studies and holds a doctorate in experimental atomic, molecular, and optical physics from the University of Texas at Austin. Jeremy began his academic career teaching physics, but is now an assistant professor of video game development at St. Edward's University. He founded an independent game studio with fellow physicist, Mark Baumann, and they have showcased their interactive narrative game, Harrowing Adventures, at South by Southwest, NarraScope, and The Bob Bullock Museum. His primary interests in game development and academic research involve the interaction between a game's narrative and its systems. Jeremy creates the art for his own games has been commissioned to create illustrations for board games, books, and other publications.
